   CASTLEMILK PUPILS HONOURED

THE latest recipients of the Tom Harris Citizenship Award were named last week at the annual prize-giving ceremony of St Margaret Mary's Secondary School.

Tom was there to present both the 2007 and 2008 awards, having been unable to be present last year. The 2007 award went to Justin Reilly for his voluntary work he carried out in India.

And the 2008 prize went to eight teenagers who volunteer every morning to run a Fair Trade cafe in the school.

Tom said: "I'm always amazed at the standard of pupil put forward for this prize.

"Bioth Justin and the Mocha Cafe winners have provided the best possible example to other young people about what being an active citizen actually means. They're a credit not only to their school, but to their families, our community and to our city."
